Shooting Star Naamya Kapoor of class IX wins Gold in Junior World Championship held at Lima (Peru) in the 25m pistol event
Manav Sthali Shooting Star Naamya Kapoorof Class IX makes her Country, School and Parents proud by winning Gold in Junior World Championship held at Lima (Peru) in the 25m pistol event . With her whole hearted dedication Naamya has added this incredible achievement to her name and now acclaims the title of the youngest shooter from India to win an International medal. She first secured a place in the finals, after securing sixth place with a total of 580 after two stages and thereafter she shot 36 out of 50. In her first 20 shots, after missing three shots, she finally won the Gold.

13 countries participated in the event and at the age of 14, Naamya etched her name in history by becoming the youngest Indian shooter to win an International medal.

Naamya has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence and Scholarship by the school for her outstanding performance
PLAY AND PROGRESS SCHEME Naamya was rewarded with the cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000 by Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in a programme organized at Chatrasal Stadium under play and progress scheme on 21st JANUARY 2021.
